One of my major musical turn-ons is a strange voice. Its no wonder then why I find myself drawn to Francois Virot of Lyon, France.
Virot's music is folksy, driving, percussive, wild, intimate and completely engrossing. With his November release, Yes or No, Virot stumbles through his own emotions with nothing more than his voice, his old acoustic guitar and hambone-esque percussion. But of these three things, its his voice that really shines through. Filled with squeals and wails and shudders, its near impossible to forget. Check out his music here.
